Position – 3 x Business Development Manager

Location – Business Development – TBS Midrand

Effective generation of new business leads and orders through enthusiastic cold calling, telephonic canvassing, self-generated appointments and response to tenders. Maintenance and growth of existing customer base. Designing of audio visual solutions according to customer requirement with the assistance of Project Manager’s and Product Specialists.

Responsibilities

1) Customer requirements scoping, quoting with the aim of maintaining business unit profitability:

  • Achieving the target number of quotes to be sent out weekly (10-12) per week) with the required margin.
  • Achieving a high closing ratio on the quotes sent out
  • Pricing strategy is competitive but profitable
  • Review and investigation into the deals that are lost for improvement and understanding of limitations and constraints to the business success.

2) Customer service and development of customer relations

  • Quality of ongoing client relationship measured by repeat business, referrals and ongoing contact.
  • Retention and increasing the amount of Key customers.

3) Achieving or Exceeding predetermined monthly, quarterly and annual GP and turnover targets

  • GP targets against budget must be achieved
  • Qualified and strong pipeline is present at all times

4) Effective management and conduct of sales process

  • Give clear and detailed information to the Sales Support, Project Managers and all other stakeholders to ensure that the clients needs are met
  • Follow up and manage the time frames to ensure that the clients expectations are met and quotes, proposals, etc. are provided to the client timeously.

5) Effective product and service offering presentations:

  • Simplified terminology, accurate and detailed information and neat presentations created.
  • Customer needs and ROI covered in the presentation
  • Value add services included
  • Presentation to the client is done with Professionalism and knowledge around the offering.

6) Professional Sales Administration:

  • Ensure that all correspondence with the client is accurate and clear
  • Ensure that feedback/response to clients are always timeous
  • Always keep to the timelines you give the client and manage their expectations where there are problems or issues that may delay your original deadline given to the client

7) Maintaining a high level of product and solutions knowledge and target industry requirements:

  • Attending all training provided to you (internally and externally)
  • Keep informed about the competitors and industry related to/pertaining to our products
  • Understand Tender requirements and ensure that your submission is in line with competitors and the industry whilst ensuring that it is profitable for the business.

Education and Experience

  • Matric
  • Valid driver’s licence and own car
  • Audio Visual qualification/s
  • Relevant sales courses or qualification will be an advantage
  • Microsoft Office
  • CRM system experience
  • Previous related experience and proven track record in external sales and design in a technical environment.
  • Experience with CCTV and Access Control, Digital Signage and/or TV Signal distribution.
  • Audio Visual experience will be advantageous
  • Proven track record with written references indicating sales success.
  • Letter of reference from an existing client within the Industry.
